The IC697MEM715 memory module is a GE Fanuc CMOS expansion memory unit. The CMOS expansion memory module is available in different versions.

The IC697MEM715 memory module from GE Fanuc is available in 64 KB, 128 KB, 256 KB, and 512 KB capacities. The GE CMOS expansion memory module like this one are used for data expansion and for expanding the logic memory in GE 771/772 CPUs in PLCs. The modules are also used in the programmable co-processor modules in PLCs. The IC697MEM715 module is configurable for data as well as for program storage and it is configured as a daughterboard when it is placed in the same slot as the module in which it operates. The memory of the base and the daughterboard are supplemental and in the event of a power loss, the battery on the base housing will retain the memory.
