The IC693BEM331 Bus Controller from GE Fanuc is designed as part of a proprietary system of I/O blocks known as Genius I-O that are well-suited for industrial applications that need a reliable and easy-to-deploy remote I/O platform. These Genius I-O blocks can be controlled by a GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLC and by using the IC693BEM331 Bus Controller as a connection and communication interface device. Up to 31 different field devices can be connected to a Bus controller like this one in order to be monitored and controlled effectively by a GE Series 90-30 PLC. The GE Fanuc IC693BEM331 Bus Controller is able to handle a maximum of 128 bytes of incoming and outgoing data from the field devices on the Bus.
