The IC693APU305 module is an I/O processor module designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc as an additional controlling device for industrial processes that need a fast-response, stand-alone processor that is able to make quick and accurate decisions.
The GE Fanuc IC693APU305 processor module is designed as an independent I/O processor module that is capable of receiving information from the field devices that are connected to its inputs, process that information according to a user-defined set of instructions, and then produce an output signal to modify the controlled variable's behavior with no need for a separate Central Processing Unit (CPU). The I/O module draws its 5 Volts DC power supply voltage from the backplane, but it does not source the field devices connected into its I/O and thus they must be powered from an independent supply. Up to 12 inputs can be monitored from the GE Fanuc IC693APU305 I/O processor module, which will respond to the system’s demands through its 8 fuse-protected outputs.
