The IC655BEM510 module is a Genius bus controller module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It is used as part of the GE Series Five PLC system. This bus controller comes with enhanced diagnostics features. The bus controller is housed inside a NEMA enclosure. It has a power requirement of 500 milliamps. The front face of the controller has LED indicators that show the communication status of the bus controller. The LED blinks during the powerup diagnostics process. The front section also has a door opening that is used to access the 9-pin display connector and other connection points. The display connector is used to connect hand-held monitors and display terminals. The IC655BEM510 bus controller has a side removable door/component that can be removed to access the internal components of the bus controller. The bus controller is powered with a 5 Volts DC power supply from the backplane.
