The General Electric/GE Fanuc IC630CHS308 Base Unit is an 8-slot base unit for the GE Series Three PLC Control System. The GE Series Three PLC is built around a space-saving blueprint and modular I/O modules which offer compact control architecture that is suitable for applications with minimal space requirements. The IC630CHS308 base unit can accommodate a maximum 8 I/O modules, and the biggest Series Three PLC configuration setup can accommodate a maximum of 3 base unit connections and a maximum of 400 I/O points. It supports 8-point, 16-point, and 32-point I/O modules which can be installed in any combination. A standard IC630CHS308 base unit consists of a processor unit, a CPU/programmer unit, a power module, 8 I/O modules (8-point, 16-point, and 32-point I/O modules), and a terminal base for all the field wiring.
