The IC697RCM711 module is a communications module in the Series 90-70 product line by GE Fanuc Automation. This specific module has a redundancy communications module. This module is made to connect 2 different pieces of equipment that both fulfill the main function such as the main CPU and the backup CPU. Both of these devices act in different instances but when they do, they have the same function. If the main CPU is in an active state without experiencing any kind of faults, the second device will receive all the backup information.
