The GE Fanuc IC695NKT002 Ethernet Network Interface Unit is manufactured as part of the RX3i PacSystem product line. It can be used remotely with the RX3i PacSystem series I/O and Series 90-30 I/O over the Ethernet network.

The IC695NKT002 Module is an Ethernet network interface unit or NIU. It is manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms/GE Fanuc as a member of the RX3i PacSystem series. This unit makes remote use of the RX3i PacSystem series and the Series 90-30 inputs and outputs over the Ethernet network. After this unit is set up through configuration, the exchange of data becomes entirely automatic. Any master devices that support the transfer of Ethernet Global Data (EGD) also offer system control. The IC695NKT002 Ethernet NIU spontaneously provides status information to the controller in every exchange. The application program logic monitors the status data and it also issues the correct commands to the Ethernet NIU.
