The IC693CHS398 baseplate is manufactured by GE Fanuc as part of Series 90-30 and it is an expansion baseplate. It is made to serve as part of a large-scale industrial control system. The IC693CHS398 expansion baseplate and the devices that it hosts cannot operate alone, they must be connected to a CPU that is either in a personal computer that has a personal computer interface card or in a PLC. If the CPU that the IC693CHS398 expansion baseplate and its devices are connected to is in a PLC, then the CPU will be supported by a CPU baseplate. The IC693CHS398 expansion baseplate must always connect to the CPU baseplate in a PLC, but it can only connect to 1 CPU baseplate in total. However, it can connect to more than 1 additional expansion baseplate at a time.
