The IC655MDL580 output module is manufactured by GE Fanuc as a 16-point output module. This module is rated for 2 Amps if resistive current. The IC655MDL580 output module comes with a terminal block that has 20 points. All of its 16 output circuits are normally open output circuits. Each output also has an LED that shows the operators of the module whether a particular output is powered on or not. The IC655MDL580 output module hosts all of its circuit connections on its removable terminal block, which is located at the front of the module. The 16 output circuits are split into 2 groups of 8. The terminal block for the IC655MDL580 output module can handle both AC and DC loads. When it is handling an AC load, it acts as a hot terminal, and when it is handling a DC load, it acts as a common terminal.
